Solar Eclipse Party @ GL

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Glen Allen Branch Library

Join us as we experience a very special astronomical event, the 2017 Solar Eclipse! We’ll learn what causes a solar eclipse and get a first-hand glimpse of this rare and wonderful occurrence.

In Henrico, we will experience a partial solar eclipse—the sun will never be completely covered, so knowing how to view safely is extra important! Solar viewing glasses will be available while supplies last, and we will also explain how to safely view the eclipse without special glasses.

This program is offered as part of the NASA@ My Library initiative to engage public audiences nationwide in informal and lifelong learning with the excitement of NASA exploration and discovery.
