Create a wearable piece of art! If you like Project Runway, then you'll love this!
Students make wearable art by reconstructing clothing, found objects, and
recycled materials. Inspiration comes from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art
collection, artists, and fashion designers. Students will also get a snapshot
of the annual Teen Stylin’ runway show held each year in December and open to
all teens living in Virginia. Artist Mo Regulinski leads this VMFA workshop.
This program has been organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and is
supported, in part, by the Paul Mellon Endowment and the Jean Stafford Camp
Memorial Fund. This program was also funded by the generous Friends of Libbie
Mill Library. This program is for students in grades 6-12, registration is
required and starts March 6.
